Product Overview:

SColi-6000 WS is a broad-spectrum antibiotic specially formulated for the prevention and treatment of gastrointestinal infections in poultry caused by Gram-negative bacteria, particularly E. coli, Salmonella spp., and Haemophilus spp. It ensures rapid action and high efficacy, helping to restore gut health and improve performance in broilers, layers, and breeders.

Colistin Sulphate acts directly on bacterial cell membranes, causing cell death and rapid recovery from enteric infections. It is an essential antibiotic for controlling bacterial enteritis and diarrhea in poultry flocks, especially under stress, poor sanitation, or post-vaccination conditions.

Composition (Each gram contains):

• Colistin Sulphate — 6,000,000 IU

• Excipients — q.s.

Indications:

Used for prevention and treatment of:

• Colibacillosis (caused by E. coli)

Applicable for Broilers, Layers, Breeders, Ducks, and Turkeys.

Dosage & Administration:

💧 For Poultry (Broilers & Layers):

• Preventive dose: 1 g per 10–15 litres of drinking water for 3–5 days.

• Therapeutic dose: 1 g per 5–10 litres of drinking water for 3–5 days (depending on severity).

• Ensure medicated water is the only source of drinking water during treatment.

📦 For Large Farms:

• 100 g per 1000 birds per day for 3–5 days.

(Dosage may vary according to disease severity or as directed by a veterinarian.)

Contraindications:

❌ Hypersensitivity to Colistin.
❌ Do not use in animals with serious renal impairment.
❌ Avoid use in animals with active microbial digestion (e.g., ruminants).

Side Effects:

• Rarely, renal dysfunction or neurotoxicity may occur with overdosing.

• Temporary neuromuscular blockade may also occur in sensitive cases.

Withdrawal Period:

• Meat & Eggs: 1 day after the last treatment.
