Product Overview:

NEWCHLOR FORTE is a broad-spectrum antibiotic formulated to control and treat bacterial infections in poultry caused by both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Its main active ingredient, Chloramphenicol I.P., is known for its excellent penetration into tissues, ensuring quick and effective control of systemic and localized bacterial infections.

This formulation is particularly effective against respiratory tract infections, enteric infections, and septicemia commonly seen in poultry due to stress, overcrowding, or unhygienic conditions.

Composition (Each gram contains):

• Chloramphenicol I.P. – 600 mg

• Excipients – q.s.

Mode of Action:

Chloramphenicol works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, effectively halting bacterial growth and multiplication. This mechanism makes it highly effective against a wide range of pathogens including:

• E. coli

• Salmonella spp.

• Pasteurella spp.

• Haemophilus spp.

• Klebsiella spp.

Indications:

Therapeutic Uses:

• Respiratory Tract Infections – such as CRD (Chronic Respiratory Disease), Coryza, and Pneumonia

• Bacterial Enteritis – for enteric infections causing diarrhea and poor growth

• Colibacillosis – due to E. coli infection causing septicemia and mortality

• Salmonellosis – controls infections caused by Salmonella spp.

Prophylactic Use:

• Wet litter syndrome or diarrhea associated with bacterial etiology

• Prevents secondary bacterial infections during stress periods

Dosage & Administration:

💧 Via Drinking Water:

• 1 gram in 5 litres of drinking water

🍽️ Via Feed:

• 50 grams in 100 kg feed

➡️ Duration:

• Continue treatment for 3–5 days, or as directed by a veterinarian.

• For breeders: Double the recommended dose.

Direction for Use:

• Prepare fresh medicated water daily.

• Ensure that medicated water is the only source of drinking water during treatment.

• Do not mix with other antibiotics unless advised by a veterinarian.

Withdrawal Period:

• Meat: Minimum 28 days after the last dose

• Eggs: Minimum 7 days after the last dose

Contraindications:
